Getting started
Drop, paste, or browse images (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF, HEIC / HEIF). HEIC from iPhone Photos is decoded in the browser. Everything stays on your device — no upload. Animated GIFs use the first frame only. New images start as the full frame, exported as JPEG.
Crop & presets
The crop starts as the full image. Drag the frame or pick passport, stamp, visa, or social presets. Use full image restores the whole photo; arrow keys nudge. On desktop, scroll the crop stage or use Fit / + / − to zoom.
Compress & export
Use the quality slider or a target size in KB. If a target is still too small, GlassCompress shrinks dimensions until it fits (or tells you it cannot). Download one image, batch ZIP, or convert the batch to PDF. Rotate 90° or flip before export. JPEG / WebP / AVIF fill transparent pixels with the background color you pick (default white). AVIF quality depends on your browser.
Metadata
Inspect EXIF, camera, and GPS on the original file. Edit tags or Clear all metadata. Tags stay stripped on export unless you check Keep metadata on JPEG export.
Rename
Name images one by one — Save name & next (or Enter) stores the name and shows the next photo. Or apply a common name plus a number, and choose which number to start from.
Compare
Drag across the compare preview (or the handle) to reveal original vs compressed. Pinch to zoom, double-tap to zoom in/out, or use Fit / + / −. When zoomed, drag to pan — drag the handle to keep revealing.
GlassPad handoff
From GlassPad, send an image here with the Compress toolbar button. When you’re done, Insert into GlassPad opens Pad and drops the compressed result into your document.
