Chrome HEIC drop
- Chrome can decode iPhone HEIC drops (the decoder worker is no longer blocked). If a file still cannot decode, you get an error instead of a stuck Loading state.

HEIC drop · JPEG default · metadata · bulk rename
- HEIC/HEIF drag-and-drop sniffs file bytes (not just the MIME type) and waits for the decoder.
- New images default to the full frame and JPEG export.
- Inspect, edit, or clear EXIF/GPS; optionally keep tags on JPEG download.
- Rename each image (Enter / Save & next auto-previews the next) or apply a common name plus a starting number.

Compare · paste · smarter export
- Before/after compare slider on the encoded output (drag to reveal the original crop).
- Paste images from the clipboard, and drop files onto the whole workspace.
- Desktop crop zoom: scroll wheel plus Fit / + / −.
- JPEG, WebP, and AVIF fill transparent pixels with a chosen background (default white).
- Target size now shrinks dimensions if quality alone cannot hit the KB cap.
- Mobile: crop first, then thumbs; sticky Download / ZIP bar.
- Animated GIFs still flatten to the first frame — the status line says so.
